Blessing

God blesses his people when he bestows on them some gift temporal or spiritual. We bless
 God when we thank him for his mercies. A man blesses himself when he invokes God's
 blessing, or rejoices in God's goodness to him One blesses another when he expresses
 good wishes or offers prayer to God for his welfare. 


Gen. 24:60; 31:55
 024:060 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother
 of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them. 

 031:055 And early in the morning Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and
 blessed them: and Laban departed, and returned unto his place. 

 1 Sam. 2:20
